ABOUT THIS PROJECT

Outdoor World was awarded a contract to construct nine gardeners’ sheds at Primary Schools across the Perth Metropolitan Area.

The shed layout included a workshop area with workbench, sink, tool rack, lighting and fire extinguishers, a storage area for gardening equipment, such as ride-on mowers, wheelbarrows, etc. and a second smaller storage area for chemicals. The scope included building approvals, site works, concrete, plumbing, electrical, shed assembly, carpentry, gyprock lining of walls and ceiling, and painting. The project was required to be completed within a short timeline, so we devised a strategy to compress the schedule and work on each of the nine sites concurrently to meet the client’s deadline.

Using our knowledge and experience, we completed this project on schedule and with minimal impact on the running of the schools. A safety management plan was produced for each work site to ensure that all risks to the health and safety of all workers and school staff and students were mitigated or minimised.

Outdoor World had complete responsibility for this multi-trade project and looked after the entire programme from start to finish.
